Transitioning In To Summer

The Japanese Garden in Cornwall provides an authentic Japanese
garden design in an idyllic Cornish setting. Built as a meditative garden it is the perfect space where one can calm the mind & let go of unwanted stress through contemplation & reflection.

It feels like summer is truly on its way with the warmer temperatures and sunnier skies.

After the wettest spring we’ve ever seen we were hoping to dry up a bit and at last the sunshine!

The garden is now transitioning to its summer colour pallet which includes a lot of green tones and some gentle reds. A few azaleas (the later flowering ones) are now in bloom but they are few and far between – its all about the trees now and the textures in the garden.

Everything in the garden is growing now at a tremendous rate and pruning is the order of business together with weeding and the general maintenance.

This week we have had a few deliveries arrive for the shop and nursery including some amazing new succulents, Ginko Biloba trees, candelabra primulas, micro fuchsias and lots of shop items – my favourite are the new back flow incense burners and new bags!
