The Easter holidays have been wonderful here at the garden and so many visitors braved the rain.

We’ve been busy maintaining the garden as everything has burst in to life and we’ve had lots of stock arriving too for our shop and nursery.

Spring is such an active time of year, not only for the plants and Bonsai. We are always busy bees here repotting the new Bonsai, unpacking deliveries of beautiful things for the shop and constantly working on the garden.

Its been so lovely welcoming visitors and chatting about their experience here.

I miss it over the winter months!

This week I stole a few minutes to wonder around the garden and capture a few pictures – always one of my favourite things to do.

I studied and worked as a free-lance photographer before taking over the garden with Stuart and I sometimes miss picking up my camera to capture the world around me.

I used to specialise in portraiture and fine art photography but my lens now captures plants and I find I never tire of gazing at them as they change throughout the seasons.

Anyway enough about me!

The garden is literally brimming with colour now as the Japanese maples show off their Devine new leaves – such vibrancy.

The azaleas are covered in buds and many of them already opening their blooms of vivid colour.

The pink cherries are in full splendour now too – fluffy pink clouds dancing on the branches as the wind blows.

Spring never disappoints.

The weather seems to have FINALLY started to dry up a little and our flooded area (the path to the left as you enter the garden) is beginning to dry up at last – dare I say it, we might be able to remove the pump soon. Fingers crossed.

We’ve never seen such flooding for so long – what a wet winter its been – and spring!

Lets hope this means a beautiful, sunny summer ay!

I shot the garden yesterday whilst the clouds were over the garden but this morning it looks like radiant sunshine for today. Check out my pics below –
