April has been so wonderful here at the garden; not only the warmer temperatures and sunshine but also we met and welcomed so many lovely visitors.
The response to the garden has been absolutely wonderful so far this season and we are so proud of our little team for all their hardwork, dedication and passion.
The garden is brimming with colour now with something popping at every turn – i felt like my camera couldn’t stop snapping when I visited this morning. Everywhere I looked I saw something I wanted to capture and share (hence the large number of photos pictured below – lol).
The azaleas are looking stunning now – some in full bloom and a few covered in buds and early blooms.
Some of the early flowering plants are now past but the Japanese maples are now in their full spring colour pallet and it doesn’t disappoint.
We have over 100 varieties of Japanese maples growing in the garden and each has its own unique leaf shape, colour and vibrancy at this time of year.
So not only are the azaleas adding masses of beautiful colour to the space but the Japanese maples are dotted all over the garden and each is displaying a fresh, vivid spring colour with their foliage.
Spring is definitely the time of year when the garden wows its visitors and it always looks at its most ‘manicured’ – as leaves are not falling and weeds haven’t yet started growing like crazy – it really is a beautiful time to see the garden.
Everything feels a little early this year as I usually find this time happens in May and we are a couple of days away from saying goodbye to April for another year.
Please check out the photos I captured this morning – pictured below and we hope to see you all soon –
