Hello and welcome back everyone!
Its been an amazing Christmas and New year for us with our baby girl turning 1 years old. Its been such a magical time!
We are now back to work and we have been busy doing our refurbishments ready for the 1st March (under a week away!) when we open our doors for the 2019 season.
Today I finally managed to get down in to the Japanese Garden to take some pictures and I was pleased to find the plants waking up beautifully from the winter sleep.
The field neighbouring us is filled with sheep and their newly born lambs; making it feel like Spring is really here. The sounds of bleeting lambs follows me as I walk down towards the garden. The Camellias are blooming their hearts out already with lots covered in open blossoms and others covered in buds. The huge leaf Rhododendron is also showing off some massive flower buds, so it won’t be long until its displaying its amazing blossoms.
The Japanese Maples are budding up nicely but none are yet in leaf – so the architecture of the garden is able to be fully appreciated in its more winter state; although it won’t be long until the acers leaf up and the colours over whelm the branches.
I am so excited for us to begin the 2019 season! The shop is already filling up with Bonsai, succulents and gifts of all kinds and we have orders of some amazing items arriving soon so watch this space!
Please enjoy looking at the few photos I took this morning in the garden and we cant wait to see you all from March 1st
