The Bridge Project: Slats Down

The Japanese Garden in Cornwall provides an authentic Japanese
garden design in an idyllic Cornish setting. Built as a meditative garden it is the perfect space where one can calm the mind & let go of unwanted stress through contemplation & reflection.

The weather has turned from sunny to wet and yet the team are still hard at work!

The bridge has been completely taken down; leaving just the sleepers there for us to balance across – which of course allowed us to have a lot of fun tottering across (for the daring ones in our group). No-one fell in…. except our dog Rupert! Sadly no photo’s of the soggy dog after his dip, but safe to say he will be avoiding the garden from now on.

The bridge is now beginning to be revived and the slats are now going down so we will be able to cross with no balancing required. Wont be long now until the side rails and roof is up and the bridge will be more spectacular than ever.

Check out the pics below to see our progress and stay tuned for our next update
