As lockdown continues the garden is blissfully unaware and is flourishing with azaleas flowering (seemingly) everywhere ๐ ๐บ
Today was a mixture of rain and sunshine and I got lucky when I visited to catch the sun ๐. I canโt quite believe how many blossoms I saw today; they really are looking wonderful and they are appearing all over the place.
The azaleas are really the stars of the show at the moment but the maples are also looking magnificent with those stunning colours and delicate leaves ๐ I also spotted the wisteria flowering today and the candelabra primulas too; all adding to the colourful blossoms of the garden.
This week has been challenging with the weather turning rainy after so much sunshine; the garden has of course loved the moisture but for those staying at home it has meant many of us have felt cooped up without being able to be outside at all; even in our gardens. This is a time that is so stressful and unknown for everyone with the future being so uncertain; it is a time when the Japanese Garden would be the perfect place for many people to spend some time and gain clarity and much needed calm, but sadly we remain closed to the public until the pandemic is under better control. Fingers crossed it wonโt be too long ๐ค๐ผ
I hope everyone is staying safe and well at this time
