October has arrived and autumn with it.
Cooler temperatures and so much wind! Ive been very happy to find that there are still leaves on the trees in the garden today during my visit ๐
Although lots have blown down with the storms, luckily there are still plenty now turning to show off beautiful and vivid autumnal colours ๐
I usually try to visit the garden once a week to shoot the ever-changing plants and colours, but its been over 2 weeks since I made it with my camera and soooo much has changed in that time!
Autumn feels securely here and with every gust of wind more leaves are dropping to the ground. It is without a doubt the messiest time of year and the gardeners are constantly raking and clearing fallen leaves (definitely not their favourite time of year ๐), but for me, Autumn is magical and its the time of year when nature reclaims the garden as its own. We always strive to strike the balance between man-made geometric shape and natural form, but autumn, with its ever changing leaf fall, definitely gives nature the edge ๐

Many of the Japanese maples are turning their autumn shades now which are just stunning but there are so many more yet to turn. I think the next 3 weeks will give us a fantastic show.
Lets just pray for less wind so we get to see just how magnificent nature can be at this time of year.
With only 3 weeks left to visit us before we close for the 2020 season, I am feeling very grateful for all the support we have received this season; from my family, our friends, our amazing team of staff and each and every wonderful customer who has kept us going with your visits and purchases.
Feedback has been amazing this year with many regular visitors saying the garden is looking sensational โ such a compliment as this year has been such a struggle.
If you are thinking of visiting us โ please make sure you book your visit via our Booking a visit page before we close on October 31st.
Look forward to seeing everyone for the next 3 weeks!
