March In The Garden

March is usually our first month open to the public but sadly this year has been very different and we are yet to reopen.

Yesterday (23rd march) it was exactly 1 year since the first lockdown began and it was a real moment of reflection to stop and realise that a whole year has passed since the world turned upside-down. It certainly wont be easily forgotten but hopefully we are moving in the right direction and soon we will be able to open our doors to welcome our visitors back.

We still intend to reopen for April 12th, however things can change (if this year has taught me anything 😉) so we will keep our fingers crossed 🤞

Today I had the chance to visit the garden – which was so so needed as we have just moved house and it has been very stressful! The garden was glowing in the sunlight. Flowers blossoming and colours popping al over the place. It’s wonderful. Spring has arrived in its positive and brightening way.

The cherry blossoms are budding up and getting close to flowering and the plum blossom is already blooming its heart out. So beautiful 😍

The magnolias are now flowering and they are just stunning flowers.

The Japanese maples are mixed at the moment – some are opening their baby leaves and others are just budding up so will be a while until they are in full, vibrant foliage.

The large leaf rhododendron is just passing its best now, but there are still many gorgeous blossoms – luckily I got to photograph them before they drop!

The garden is radiating the positive, spring vibes which was exactly what I needed today.

We can’t wait to reopen to the public and share some of the positivity with you.

Come on April 12th!
