The weather has been all over the place this month with snow one minute and sunshine the next!

This crazy changing weather has confused some of the plants in the garden, as they were waking up for spring time, only to be suddenly thrust back in to winter. Luckily the Japanese Maples haven’t opened up their fragile baby leaves just yet, just covered in buds ready to open, so hopefully the cold weather will pass soon and we can look forward to beautiful warm temperatures and hopefully lots of sunshine.

Last year at this time the Cherry Blossoms were already showing off their stunning blooms, but this year its ben much colder and so they are not yet opening up. Wont be too long though! I will keep you all posted.

The garden this week has seen many early flowering plants; opening their blossoms, including some of the Azaleas and large leaf Rhododendrons. The flowers are so beautiful and because the Maples are not yet in leaf the landscape has more space and you can just catch glimpses of colour from the flowering plants.

This was my first visit in to the garden with Saffron (our new baby girl) and although she slept for most of our walk around the garden, it was truly wonderful to visit this place with my daughter.
