This month has seen the beginning of the autumn season and the garden is feeling beautifully calm. We are nearing the end of September and the garden is embracing the time of year.
Leaves are falling and beginning to change colour for the cooler time of the year and the yellows, oranges and deep purples will soon be replacing the greens and bright reds of the foliage.
This morning I spent some time in the garden photographing the bridge and some of the trees. I even shot the odd leaf that caught my eye. The early light was just amazing and when i got in to the right position i could see steam rising from some of the wood of the bridge and the branches of some of the trees, making it look and feel magical in the garden.
As we near the end of September I cannot believe that we are nearly at the end of the season! As you know we will be closing over winter and our last day open will be October 31st until March 1st next year when we will reopen to the public.
So if you are thinking of coming to visit us please do within the next 6 weeks!
I recently created a page for each season so you can view photography of the garden throughout the year. If you are planning a visit next year, check out the Season pages or visit our Blog to stay tuned with all our latest news and photography.
