Hello October

October has started and the autumn colours are on their way. In about 3 weeks the garden will completely transform from the summer greens and deep purples to fiery reds, yellows and oranges!

Autumn is such a spectacular time of year for us here at the garden with so many Japanese maples growing in our 1 acre sized garden – it really is a transformation of colour throughout this month.

We are open daily, 7 days a week until 15th November for this year – the clocks change later in October when our last garden entry and closing time will change – ill pop a notice on our homepage when this happens – and our Google page will be updated to show what closing times we will have. Our last entry for the garden is always 1 hour before closing.

My visit today was absolutely beautiful with sunshine pouring in through the trees with a golden tone.

I love the autumn light!

The trees were whispering with the breeze rustling the leaves and I felt transported during my visit today.

The colours are starting to turn in a few places but I think another 2 weeks will really give the maples a change to transition.
