Today we reopen the garden for the 2020 season! Cant quite believe we have reached March 1st already!
The garden is looking beautiful, despite the storm damage which we are currently repairing, everywhere you look plants and trees are waking up. Buds are everywhere and some flowers are already blooming 🌺 The camellias are showing off vibrant blossoms and the pink dwarf azalea and the yellow azalea are both looking stunning 💖
Crocuses are flowering already and the vivid purple colours are wonderful. Crocuses are very special flowers to me and its always lovely when they appear in the garden.
The many Japanese maples in the garden are not yet in leaf (of course) but many are showing off their buds and a couple are already starting to unfurl!
Today at 10am we reopen the shop and garden for the 2020 season – the first day open in this decade! Its been a challenging winter this year with one storm after another and we have suffered flooding, a big tree blowing down and several fences down in the winds, but we have, and still are, working to fix the damage. We feel as though we are getting there now! Thankfully!
Hope everyone had a good a winter season – and not to much storm damage to your own gardens!
We can’t wait to see you all again this year and meet all the new visitors too
See you soon
Natalie & Stuart
