April has arrived and so has the sunshine!

Its been a beautiful few days of warm, sunny weather here at the garden and the plants have been loving it.

The white cherries are now at their best for those of you who are wanting to see them. The Mount Fuji variety looks like white fluffy clouds have somehow come down and landed on the branches. Absolutely stunning.

The pink cherries (always later) are only just budding so it will be a while before they show off their blooms but many of the azaleas are now covered in flowers and/or buds.

The Japanese maples are now budding and leafing up and a few early ones are in leaf and vibrantly coloured.

The garden is well and truly springing to life now and everywhere you look there is signs of what is to come.

Our gardeners have been busy tidying and the garden feels the most manicured at this time of year.

We are still busy working to hide some of our winter project work (a few pipes are on show) but we have had a wonderful response from visitors so far this year. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and positive encouragement – the gardeners are always so pleased to hear the feedback.

I managed to visit this morning and capture a few photos of the garden – pictured below –
