Bonsai delivery arrives with many indoor and outdoor varieties!
We are busy repotting now with 900 new trees needing to come out of their pre-potted compost and be lovingly repotted into our own compost recipe!
Once a tree is potted into our mixture it literally grows like its been given rocket-fuel! We compost tonnes of leaves from the Japanese garden each year and add it to our compost mix which makes it incredibly nutrient rich – which the Bonsai love! It is also gritty and, most importantly, free draining – so the roots are much happier.
Anyone who is new to keeping Bonsai will be in a much better position to have success with a repotted tree from us rather than one left in the Chinese compost – and all our trees come with a Bonsai care guide – written by us to help you find your feet with keeping your Bonsai happy and healthy.
This delivery included the following species –

- Chinese Sweet Plum
- Chinese Pepper
- Azalea
- Ficus
- Ligustrum
- Podocarpus
- Buxus
- Pseudo Larix (Golden larch)
- Redwood
- Trident Maple
- Acer Palmatum – including Deshojo
There is a nice variety of sizes and prices and even a couple of price reductions compared to last year (I know amazing given the current climate!).
Chinese elms that were £35 are reduced this year to £29!
Its been almost 3 years since we had any Japanese Bonsai imports – but excitingly – in the next 4-8 weeks we will be having a collection of stunning Japanese trees delivered – so watch this space! I will blog as soon as they arrive.
