Autumn Or Summer?

The garden is beginning to show signs of autumn now with leaves falling with every gust of wind.

The weather has been incredible this week with sunshine blasting and temperatures up to 21 degrees c.

Its felt like summer wanted to come back!

The plants are probably wondering what’s going on with the seasons – is it still summer or are we in to autumn?

The weather is set to turn wetter over the next few days and temperatures will cool somewhat so we can expect a bit more of an autumnal feel soon.

Autumn is arguably my favourite time of year as the Japanese maples transform into their stunningly vivid colours before dropping all their leaves for winter.

The light becomes golden whenever the sun shines and everything slows down in the garden.

Its a very nostalgic time of year.

This week we have had a couple of deliveries including our beautiful soapstone soap dishes (ideal for my artisan soaps), recycled sari soap mittens, singing bowls and a few other beautiful, ethically sourced items for the shop.

Next week we hope to have another delivery of statues arriving (the last one for this year) – so watch this space – ill post once its in!
