August is here and things have been busy here at the Japanese Garden.
We had a huge Bonsai delivery last month and we have been keenly repotting them in to our own Bonsai Compost – which is far better for them than the water-retentive growing medium they arrive in.
The garden has been enjoying the warm temperatures and some rain which after the crazy heatwave in July has been much needed.
The colour pallet of the garden is always at its most muted in August as we have said farewell to the flowers of Spring and even the late flowering plants which often hold on in to July. But August has a feeling in the garden of Summer energy and the light is bright and warm throughout the sunny days.
My walk around the garden was just what I needed yesterday and the tranquility and peaceful feeling made me smile as I wandered the pathways.
We have been making up many new succulent terrariums in our Shop and a few Bio bubbles too which have been brightening up our table display this week and many varieties of our succulents are now out of stock!
