June has arrived and we have been loving the warm weather and beautiful sunshine!
The garden has been flourishing with flowers and new growth throughout May and now we have reached the month of June it is showing off different flowers and colours – some of the Azaleas are still looking beautiful and we now have Irises in bloom adding some amazing purple and yellow colours to the mix.
The Japanese Maples are looking divine right now; with reds, greens, yellows and purples now covering many of the spaces with foliage. The canopy is glowing with pinky/red light as the sun shines through the leaves. Its beautiful.
The Koi carp were swimming around a lot and i managed to get a few good shots of a couple swimming under the weeping willow – this is rare as they will never pose for my camera!
I also watched many Damsel flies flitting around the water and after many failed attempts i managed to get one good shot of them – please see below at the pictures.
The bank holiday weekend saw many new visitors come to see us and it was great to see some old faces too!
I have been walking my little girl around the garden regularly as it seems to send her off to sleep! I can’t quite believe she is 4 months old already!
Hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Please enjoy looking at photos shot yesterday in the garden –
