Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

We were told that it was going to be a very cold one this year, but we are thrilled to see that the sun is shining and the temperatures are finally warming up.

We have had a fantastic collection of handmade pots arrive this week. Created from Cornish Surfboard resin by a local artist. We have planted some of our succulents in them and they look beautiful! Each one is unique and individual and there are some amazing designs.

The garden has been waking up from the cold, wintery weather we had earlier this month and we are now seeing the signs of Spring everywhere in the garden.

The Camellias are looking stunning with many different varieties opening up their blossoms and some of the early flowering Azaleas are following suit and showing off some stunning petals.

The large leaf Rhododendrons are budding up ready to display their huge, cream and pink flowers and some are already opening.

The Japanese Maples are budding everywhere in the garden and some are already opening their baby leaves. The new leaves are vibrantly coloured and it won’t be long until we see them in full Spring flourish.

The long awaited Cherry Blossoms are finally budding and its just a matter of time now before we see the gorgeous, and sadly fleeting, flowers. Only lasting a week or 2 per year, its a sight to be seen every Spring. I will of course keep you all up to date as to when they blossom.

We are open our usual hours over this Easter weekend (10am until 6pm, last entrance to the garden at 5pm, 7 days a week until October 31st) – hope to see you all soon!

Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy having a look at the photos shot in the garden this morning –
